Individual therapy is a chance for us to work together one on one. Many people think of one on one therapy as a conversation and sometimes it can be as simple as that. Sometimes all someone needs is to set some time aside to have a confidential conversation with someone who won’t judge them and who will actively listen and care about what they have to say. Most of the time therapy is more complicated then that. Usually when someone comes to therapy, they are going to need to do more than just have a conversation and our time together will also be a chance to work through difficult issues, develop your natural abilities, and practice different techniques and skills.
